Operator Instacart: AI Engagement Manager

Manages end-to-end AI platform engagements with B2B partners, orchestrating cross-functional workflows and ensuring customers reach value adoption milestones.

Mid Remote Posted about 6 hours ago We Work Remotely — Programming
What this role involves

Headquarters: Canada - Remote (ON, AB, BC, or NS Only)

We're transforming the grocery industry

At Instacart, we invite the world to share love through food because we believe everyone should have access to the food they love and more time to enjoy it together. Where others see a simple need for grocery delivery, we see exciting complexity and endless opportunity to serve the varied needs of our community. We work to deliver an essential service that customers rely on to get their groceries and household goods, while also offering safe and flexible earnings opportunities to Instacart Personal Shoppers.

Instacart has become a lifeline for millions of people, and we’re building the team to help push our shopping cart forward. If you’re ready to do the best work of your life, come join our table.

Instacart is a Flex First team

There’s no one-size fits all approach to how we do our best work. Our employees have the flexibility to choose where they do their best work—whether it’s from home, an office, or your favorite coffee shop—while staying connected and building community through regular in-person events. Learn more about our flexible approach to where we work.

Overview

The Enterprise AI Pod is a forward-deployed, field-first unit within Instacart's Enterprise Solutions team — purpose-built to take the Instacart Intelligence Platform to market with B2B retail and CPG partners. As the AI Engagement Manager, you are the operational backbone of the engagement — the person who makes complex, multi-stakeholder AI engagements actually move. This is an orchestration role, not a commercial one; success is measured by getting partners to value, not by signings or P&L. You own the partner relationship from discovery through workflow adoption, hold the team accountable to delivery, and serve as the primary bridge between field execution and R&D — all while managing multiple engagements simultaneously in an environment where the playbook is still being written.

About the Job

  • Own the full AI engagement arc. From first discovery through sustained workflow adoption — serving as the external partner's single point of contact across every phase while driving scope, timelines, milestones, and escalations and keeping cross-functional workstreams aligned and moving. There is no "launch and hand off" in this model.
  • Drive requirements and delivery precision. Shape engagement structure, align on objectives, translate partner needs into a clear execution plan, and track against it with rigor. Surface risks early and keep stakeholders — partner and internal — ahead of problems, not behind them.
  • Champion continuous quality. In AI engagements there's no single gate — value is proven iteratively. You oversee the testing and feedback loops that ensure the platform is performing against real partner workflows, track adoption progress, and stay on top of the change management work that determines whether a deployment becomes a lasting behavior change.
  • Hold the R&D feedback loop. You are accountable for ensuring field learnings flow back to R&D and that R&D delivers on agreed roadmap commitments. When either side of the loop breaks down, you own the escalation.
  • Build playbooks. Identify reusable patterns across engagements and turn them into scalable delivery frameworks the whole pod can use. We are early; what you build now will become the foundation for how this team operates at scale.
  • Own engagement economics. Track the full cost structure of every active engagement — resource allocation across the pod, time spent per workstream, and cost card inputs — and maintain a running view of cost-to-deliver across the portfolio. Surface cost/benefit signals to inform prioritization and go/no-go decisions on new engagements. As the pod scales, your cost data becomes the foundation for delivery efficiency benchmarks.
  • This is a field-first role. Travel is part of the job — expect to be on-site at partner locations during key engagement phases, with travel that could reach 50%+ at peak. Presence matters in this model.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years in technical project management, enterprise engagement management, or a related field — with a track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder technical programs end to end to external enterprise clientele.
  • Demonstrated experience managing programs across the full software development lifecycle — from requirements definition and scoping through build, test, and launch — including the ability to identify and manage risk, develop detailed work plans, and allocate resources across concurrent workstreams.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to hold credible conversations with partner engineering teams, understand AI/ML implementations and integration dependencies, and manage technically complex delivery workstreams without being the technical expert in the room.
  • Experience building and maintaining engagement cost models — tracking resource utilization, time allocation, and cost inputs across concurrent programs and translating those into cost/benefit analysis that informs business and deal-level decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills, paired with a sharp attention to both details and overarching project objectives. An expert in facilitating highly productive internal and external meetings - and creating assets and processes which drive project clarity at every step.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where structure doesn't yet exist.
  • Proficiency across program management tools (Jira, Asana, Smartsheet), collaboration and documentation platforms (Confluence, Google Workspace), and executive-level presentation tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides).
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Willingness to travel ~50% within North America.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing AI, data platform, or systems integration deployments at enterprise scale.
  • Background in retail tech, e-commerce, operations, or CPG.
  • Experience working at the intersection of engineering, product, and commercial teams.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI platforms, LLM APIs, or RAG-based systems — enough to be conversant with partners and contextualize where Instacart's platform fits.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce), BI and reporting platforms (Tableau, Looker, Power BI), and workshop facilitation tools (Miro, Lucidspark) — enough to stay aligned with pipeline, interpret engagement metrics, and run a working session when needed.
  • PMP or equivalent program management credentials.
  • Prior work in a forward-deployed, embedded, or startup environment.

Sales Enterprise Account Executive at Miter

Build and own enterprise sales cycles with large construction contractors, managing complex multi-stakeholder deals from prospecting through contract negotiation and handoff.

Mid Posted about 14 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

A Better Built World

At Miter, we’re on a mission to help construction contractors build with confidence. If we’re successful, we’ll make it easier and faster to build critical physical infrastructure - roads, bridges, utilities, data centers, housing, etc.

For decades, construction and field services contractors have had to run their businesses on outdated software: clunky, on-premise systems created in the 1980s and 1990s.

That’s where Miter comes in. We’re using AI and embedded payments to rebuild the core HR, finance, and operations systems that underpin our physical economy. Using Miter, contractors like Marathon Electrical, W.J. O’Neil, and Truebeck Construction are building stronger teams, controlling job costs, and accelerating jobsite execution.

This idea is resonating. Since we launched in 2021, we’ve grown to thousands of customers and tens of millions in ARR, making us one of the fastest growing vertical software companies ever. To double-down on our momentum, we’ve raised $50M+ from top investors (Bessemer, Coatue, and Battery) who share our belief that we’re just getting started.

About the Team & How We Work:

As Miter’s first Enterprise Account Executive, you will build our enterprise motion from the ground up. This is a full-cycle quote-carrying sales role where you will act as a consultative partner to some of the largest names in construction, guiding multi-state general contractors, specialty subcontractors, and vertically integrated firms to a better way of running their business.

You will own a named list of enterprise accounts from the first outreach through signed contract running complex sales cycles that involve real buying committees: CFOs, COOs, VPs of Field Operations, IT and payroll leadership, procurement, and legal. You will partner closely with Solutions Engineering, Launch and Customer Success to scope multi-entity deployments and hand them off cleanly, and you will build the ROI case and lead the commercial negotiation the whole way through.

There is no enterprise playbook here yet. You will help write it alongside GTM leadership, with a direct seat at the table while the motion is still being defined, in an industry that has run on the same outdated software for forty years and is finally ready for something better. You will have a direct impact on how the largest contractors in the country manage their teams, projects, and financials, ultimately helping them build a better built world.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own a named list of enterprise accounts — large multi-state general contractors, specialty subcontractors, and vertically integrated construction firms — driving net-new logo acquisition from first outreach to signed contract.

  • Run complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles — build relationships with C-suite and VP-level economic buyers (CFOs, COOs, VPs of Field Operations), IT and payroll leadership, and procurement or legal.

  • Partner cross-functionally to scope the deal right — work with Solutions Engineering, Launch, and Customer Success on multi-entity, multi-EIN deployments, and ensure a clean handoff at close.

  • Lead commercial negotiation — pricing, MSAs, and security or procurement requirements, start to finish.

  • Build the business case — construct and present a quantified ROI story tied to a prospect’s actual cost structure and operations, not a generic template.

  • Keep the pipeline honest — disciplined forecasting and pipeline hygiene in Salesforce, and feed account-level insight back to Product and Marketing.

  • Represent Miter in the field — industry events and trade shows that build pipeline and brand presence in the enterprise construction segment.

What You’ll Need:

  • 6+ years of quota-carrying, full-cycle SaaS sales experience, including 2+ years selling to enterprise accounts — with a track record of consistently exceeding an enterprise-grade quota.

  • Experience running complex, multi-threaded sales cycles with 5+ stakeholders, and navigating procurement, security review, and legal/contract negotiation on enterprise deals.

  • Fluency with a structured enterprise sales methodology and disciplined pipeline and forecast management in Salesforce.

  • Executive presence — you’re comfortable building trust and credibility with C-suite and VP-level buyers at large, established companies.

  • Sharp discovery instincts — you can surface business pain a prospect doesn’t state outright and translate it into urgency.

  • Cross-functional orchestration — you can mobilize internal teams (Solutions Engineers, Launch, Customer Success, Legal) around a deal without dropping the ball.

  • Nice to have: experience selling into construction, field services, or another traditionally underserved vertical; an existing network among general contractors, specialty subcontractors, or the construction ERP/VAR ecosystem; or experience helping build an early enterprise motion at a high-growth startup.

Our Interview Process:

  • Recruiter Screen

  • Hiring Manager Interview

  • Presentation Round

  • Mitosaur Team Round

  • Executive Interview

Our Benefits:

  • Competitive Compensation: We offer competitive (well above “market”) salary, commission, and equity packages.

  • Medical Insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental, FSA, vision plans to suit you and your family’s needs.

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan: Company-matched contributions to help you plan for your future.

  • Flexible PTO: Take the time you need to recharge and be your best self.

  • Parental Leave: Generous 16-week paid leave for all parents, including adoptive and foster parents.

  • Learning & Development: We offer every employee an annual educational allowance to explore external professional development.

  • Office Extras: Snacks, coffee, lunch, and commuter benefits for in-office Mitosaurs.

  • Community: Company-wide and team-specific off-sites per year.

Hybrid vs. Remote Approach:

We believe the magic of Miter comes from working side by side. We also believe in work flexibility. For roles that are listed as hybrid, our approach is 3 days a week in the office giving us the chance to connect, brainstorm, and build stronger relationships. If you live within a reasonable commute to either our New York City or San Francisco offices, we ask that you work in our hybrid approach.

Otherwise, for roles listed as remote or in other cities where we don’t have an office location, there is no requirement to work in our hybrid approach. We do travel a few times a year for onboarding, company-wide and team specific off-sites!

We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce and welcome people from all backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities.

You’ll be the person who keeps a real production fintech protocol running day to day: handling the access requests, deployments, and infrastructure tasks that our engineering org depends on, and making sure nothing blocks the team from shipping. You’ll work directly with our DevOps & Security engineer in a small, high-trust team, taking ownership of the operational and platform work so it runs smoothly and predictably. You’ll touch more infrastructure in six months than most engineers see in three years, across GCP, Cloudflare, CI/CD, and multi-chain deployments. If you’re process-oriented, like owning systems and documentation, and want to build a serious platform/DevOps career in Web3, this is the role.

This is a hands-on platform and operations role. Day to day you’ll keep engineering and IT operations running; over time you’ll take on larger infrastructure projects end to end.

Essential Job Functions

  • Respond to and resolve daily support requests from the team (Slack, tickets): the fast-turnaround work that keeps everyone unblocked.
  • Manage user access and identity across the stack: Google Workspace, GitHub, Notion, 1Password, and other SaaS. Handle onboarding, offboarding, seats, licenses, and permissions.
  • Administer SaaS and tooling: account provisioning, license management, and vendor tools day to day.
  • Execute deployments and maintain CI/CD release pipelines (GitHub Actions across our repos).
  • Operate and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP (Cloud Run, IAM, Cloud Functions) and Cloudflare (DNS, WAF, Access).
  • Create and maintain operational documentation and runbooks so common tasks are repeatable.
  • Build and run monitoring and alerting across our applications and backend services.
  • Take on infrastructure initiatives end to end: migrations, deprecations, environment hardening, and standing up hosting for new internal apps and databases.
  • Learn Web3/blockchain operations hands-on.
  • Work across European and US timezones in a fully remote, high-compliance environment where security and quality standards are high.

Tech stack: GCP, Cloudflare, GitHub Actions, Docker, Terraform, Python/Bash, plus Web3 tooling.

Education and experience

  • 3+ years in DevOps, platform, infrastructure, or strong IT/sysadmin roles.
  • Strong Linux/Unix fundamentals and scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Hands-on cloud experience (GCP ideal): Cloud Run, IAM, networking.
  • CI/CD experience, ideally GitHub Actions; solid Git/GitHub.
  • Comfortable owning Cloudflare, DNS, and web-layer security.
  • Excellent written English and a documentation-first, process-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working with AI-assisted tooling to move faster (we lean on it heavily).
  • Nice to have: Terraform/IaC, exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001), and curiosity about Web3/blockchain. Prior Web3 experience is a plus, not a requirement.

Working conditions

This is a full-time, permanent role. We work fully remote with a European base, generally around 09:00 to 17:00 local time, with the flexibility to overlap US hours when something needs it. There’s an annual learning budget for courses, conferences, and certifications, and the occasional out-of-hours moment when a production incident needs attention, typically only a handful of times a year and always with escalation support behind you.

Reasons to join

You’d own the operational backbone of a live fintech protocol with over $1B in real assets onchain, working directly alongside a senior DevOps and Security engineer, with room to grow into deeper infrastructure, security, and platform ownership. It’s hands-on Web3 and compliance-grade infrastructure experience you won’t get in many places, in a small, fast-moving, well-funded team, fully remote and flexible, with real autonomy over the systems you look after.
