As the organization continues to grow, they are looking for an Investment Officer to join their Investment Management Unit who will play a key part in managing investment portfolios and supporting strategic investment decisions to help achieve the organization’s financial objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management

•Monitor the organization’s investments to ensure compliance with IC-approved policies and guidelines

•Negotiate with financial institutions regarding money-market placements

•Handle the various liquidity requirements of the organization’s affiliated schools

•Handles inquiries from the organization’s affiliated schools and resolves investment-related issues

•Update organization’s affiliated schools, on a regular basis regarding the details of their investments

•Research and analyze financial markets using proprietary and external resources to make appropriate portfolio management recommendations for assigned schools

•Initiate consultations with External Fund Managers on investment and market-related issues and concerns

•Select acceptable investment instruments (including computations on projected bond yields and return expectations) in accordance with the organization’s investment objectives and risk tolerance and investment guidelines and prepare recommendations to IMC and IC

•Review and analyze the financial statements of assigned schools per Fund Manager

•Assess and evaluate the credit risk and evaluates performance against benchmark and compliance with investment guidelines/parameters

•Coordinates and prepares reports for assigned schools including presentations to the BOT, if required

•Visits counterparts for client education and servicing

Administrative

•Assist with set-up and preparation of investment agreements between the organization, affiliated schools and financial institutions/external fund managers

•Prepares documentary and legal requirements for transactions

•Make sure all requirements for transactions are compiled with

•Coordinates with the legal counsel and corporate secretaries of the affiliated schools

Must-have Skills / Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Industrial Management Engineering

•Working knowledge of trust business, investments, securities, and financial markets, including a broad understanding of various investment markets and products (i.e. money market, equities, bonds, deposits, foreign exchange, derivatives)

•At least 2 years of industry experience in Portfolio Management

•Knowledge and/or experience of Domestic or Global investments

•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

•Good communication, analytical, and presentation skills

•Highly organized, self-driven, and ethical

•Able to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment

•Open to continuous improvement and challenging the status quo

Advantageous skills or nice-to-haves:

•Certified (Associate) Treasury Professional

•Familiarity with investment analysis
