Trial Surveillance & Analytics (TSA) is a newly formed center of excellence in Data & AI Acceleration, part of AbbVie’s Data and Statistical Sciences organization. Our mission is to transform how AbbVie conducts ongoing clinical trial surveillance — integrating trial data, analytics and AI so that study teams and patient safety colleagues see emerging safety and efficacy signals early, and can act on them with confidence. This is work upstream, inside ongoing clinical trials, where insight can still change decisions for the study and for patients.

The Senior Manager, Trial Surveillance & Analytics is a hands-on, full-stack data scientist who takes a surveillance question from intake to a working solution. You will work in a small team that owns a capability end to end — from the data, through the analysis, to the tool that study teams use — and you will own your solutions from problem statement to a working product that people use. The team is AI-native from day one: agentic coding and AI agents are part of how we work, with room to experiment and to scale what works. You will combine depth in one area (such as statistical programming and reporting, data integration, data visualization, data science and machine learning, or data and software engineering) with enough breadth across clinical data, analytics and AI to deliver on your own, with the support of the team. As an early member of a new center of excellence, you will help define how it works, the standards it sets and the capabilities it builds, partnering across Global Patient Safety, therapeutic area clinical development teams, Statistics, Statistical Programming and data engineering across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Frame surveillance problems with stakeholders before building: understand the decision to be supported, design for adoption, and iterate with users.
• Design and build data pipelines and analysis-ready, integrated data on SDTM, ADaM and integrated databases to support safety and efficacy surveillance.
• Lead blinded, standardized analytics across studies and compounds to detect emerging safety and efficacy signals early.
• Deliver reporting — tables, listings and figures, safety reports and listings — and automate it wherever possible.
• Develop applications, dashboards and self-service tools that study teams and patient safety colleagues use themselves; drive their adoption and measure their use.
• Apply generative and agentic AI across the analysis workflow, build AI agents on the clinical data foundation, and measure the gain in time and quality.
• Integrate clinical trial and real-world data where the science requires it, assessing comparability and data quality first.
• Lead projects and small cross-functional pods; coach and mentor team members. May include indirect supervision of employees and contract staff.
• Represent the team in cross-functional forums and communicate technical concepts and results clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Ensure adherence to applicable regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, AbbVie Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and functional quality standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• MS (with 8+ years of experience) or PhD (with 4+ years of experience) in Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Machine learning and AI or a highly related field.
• Experience may be in pharmaceutical, biotech, health technology or related industries.
• Strong hands-on programming in R and Python, plus SQL and version control (e.g. Git), with a track record of writing production-quality code for end-to-end analytical pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience applying generative or agentic AI to analytical or programming work, with measurable results.
• Experience working with clinical trial data (e.g. CDISC SDTM/ADaM) and/or real-world data (e.g. EHR, claims, registries).
• A track record of building analytical tools or solutions that were adopted and sustained by their users.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain analytical and technical concepts in plain language and to influence cross-functional partners without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing and building agentic AI systems (e.g. multi-step agents, tool use, retrieval and evaluation), with a track record of solutions delivered and used in production.
• Experience in clinical development, drug safety, pharmacovigilance, clinical trial monitoring or regulatory evidence generation.
• Knowledge of clinical trial design and of methods for real-world evidence, such as cohort definition, confounding control and external comparators.
• Experience building interactive visualizations and data apps with modern frameworks (e.g. Plotly / Dash, Streamlit, Shiny, React / D3) and deploying on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS).
• Familiarity with SAS.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives; formal business or leadership training is a plus.
• Publications, presentations or community leadership in data science, statistics or AI.

About the team:

The Analytics team at Evenup plays a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. We partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Executive teams to uncover insights, build scalable data solutions, and enable a culture of data-driven decision making and continuous improvement. Our team is responsible for everything from foundational data modeling and reporting to advanced analytics and forecasting.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our fast-paced, data-driven team. You will be working on our AI product suite and identifying opportunities for proprietary data products. You’ll play a key role in understanding the key product usage, turning insights into actions and forming feasible plans for new data products.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation of working 3 days a week from one of our office hubs in San Francisco or Toronto.

What you’ll do:

• Translate complex datasets into clear insights with strategic recommendations that drive measurable actions and outcomes to inform product direction and business priorities

• Partner with Product, Engineering and Operations teams to define KPIs

• Work with evaluation data team to plan short and long term annotation work and define evaluation schemas

• Communicate analysis results and outcomes clearly and tailor based on the audience

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering or related field or equivalent years of practical work experience

• 5+ years of experience using SQL or similar big data querying languages

• 5+ years of experience with programming language, such as Python or R

• 5+ years of experience with applied statistical techniques, such as inferential methods, causal methods, A/B testing, or statistical modeling techniques

• Experience using machine learning and statistical analysis for building data-driven product solutions or performing methodological research

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - ability to distill complex findings from data and models into compelling insights for technical and non-technical audiences

• Advanced degree in applied mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics or related field

The War Room protects Veterans and taxpayer dollars through data analytics, fraud risk assessment and fast administrative action, in line with Executive Orders 14395 and 14243. The Data Analyst (Healthcare Fraud) is Essential Personnel on the fraud, waste and abuse (FWA) analytics team. Working under the Analytics and Technology Program Director and the Senior Data Analyst, this person uses VA’s Palantir analytics and workflow platform to analyze VHA claims, enrollment and exclusion data. The analyst builds and tests business rules that detect potential fraud and overpayments, and surfaces anomalies and prioritized leads for OIC review. This includes supporting the Provider 360 view of community care providers, anomaly detection and network analysis to find coordinated billing schemes. The role is advisory and analytical. All final decisions stay with Government personnel.

The Business Solutions Analyst, Enterprise Platforms — a role often titled Business Systems Analyst — is a hands-on, ownership-driven position that both defines how NYPCC’s business and clinical systems should work and builds it. This individual partners with departments across the organization to understand their needs (the analysis) and then configures, administers, and continuously optimizes our platforms to meet them (the build). The immediate priority is to become NYPCC’s in-house expert on our new cloud-based EHR, Arize by Cantata Health, as we migrate from our legacy system, ensuring the platform is configured to support person-centered care, efficient clinical and administrative workflows, and full regulatory compliance. Prior Arize experience is not expected; you will learn the platform alongside the vendor’s implementation team, and what matters is a proven record of hands-on configuration on a comparable system.

Over time, the role expands to take ownership of additional configurable platforms — such as Salesforce and our Learning Management System — maximizing the value of the technology NYPCC has invested in.

Success in this role is defined by ownership: proactively partnering across the agency, spotting opportunities others miss, and shaping the roadmap for our platforms rather than simply responding to requests.

EHR Configuration & Optimization (Primary Focus)

• Serve as NYPCC’s in-house subject-matter expert on the new cloud EHR, owning its day-to-day configuration and administration.
• During the migration, embed with the implementation team, shadow the vendor’s build, and be fully prepared to own the platform independently at go-live.
• Configure and continuously optimize EHR workflows, screen layouts, forms, custom fields, business rules, security roles, and reports in a controlled, compliance-safe manner.
• Diagnose and resolve configuration issues, and proactively identify enhancements that improve clinician and staff efficiency and the client experience.

Business Analysis & Solution Design

• Proactively partner with clinical, billing, quality/compliance, HR, and operations teams to understand their workflows, challenges, and goals.

Security, Compliance & Data Integrity

About the Role

Are you passionate about turning customer behaviour into better digital experiences? As our Product Analytics & Experimentation Lead, you’ll help shape how millions of customers interact with Moonpig by uncovering insights that drive smarter product decisions.

Muon Space is building a family of infrared imaging missions designed for global wildfire detection and monitoring, weather and cloud characterization, and space-based environmental monitoring. Muon’s IR Data Products team builds the analytics system that processes the data from our spacecraft’s custom multispectral imaging instruments into data products and analytics for diverse end-user stakeholders from these missions. We are seeking a Geospatial Data Scientist to join this team with a focus on building derived data products from Muon’s FireSat and Space-Based Environmental Monitoring (SBEM) missions.

This role will be a hands-on contributor to the development of derived data products from Muon’s IR data missions. You will dive deep into real-world data from brand new imaging systems, prototype and productionize algorithms that turn Level-1 imagery into higher-level derived products, and write production-ready code that feeds directly into customer-facing services. Working alongside senior scientists and product owners on the IR Data Products team, you will build expertise across both missions while contributing to product design, validation, and documentation. This is a high-impact, multi-mission role that sits at the intersection of rigorous Earth observation science and fast-moving product development, and is well-suited for someone who thrives on hands-on technical work and cross-functional collaboration.

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join the team to build out the on-orbit data calibration system.

In this role, the candidate will join Muon’s calibration team to build the production software systems that deliver calibration and image processing of the unique multi-spectral infrared data from several instrument variations in Muon’s IR missions. This is a data science role with a strong software engineering focus: the successful candidate will translate calibration algorithms into hardened production pipelines, complete with monitoring and alerting, unit and integration testing, and automated diagnostic visualizations that keep calibration and image quality observable end-to-end. As the FireSat constellation scales, this role will take on an expanded mandate that spans both the FireSat Initial Operating Capability (IOC) commissioning and Muon’s Space-Based Environmental Monitoring (SBEM) program. In the near term, the candidate will build out and operate the calibration software stack for the three FireSat satellites of the IOC constellation and stand up the automated testing and monitoring tooling that keeps that stack healthy at constellation scale. In parallel, the candidate will develop the production calibration infrastructure for Muon’s SBEM instruments — a next-generation sensor suite featuring additional infrared spectral bands and significantly more stringent radiometric calibration requirements than the FireSat camera. As the SBEM program advances toward its 2027 launch, the candidate will first collaborate with the IR Instrument team on pre-launch calibration software and test harnesses, then lead the deployment and on-orbit operation of the SBEM calibration pipelines.

This position is hybrid and requires working on-site in our Denver, CO office three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production-grade calibration and image-processing pipelines for the multispectral infrared imagery from Muon’s FireSat and SBEM missions.
• Translate calibration algorithms — such as dark/offset correction, non-uniformity correction (NUC), radiometric gain and linearity, bad-pixel identification and replacement, and band-to-band registration — from research prototypes into hardened, well-tested production code, and own the testing strategy across unit, integration, and regression suites over representative lab and on-orbit datasets.
• Analyze pre-launch (thermal-vacuum, integrating sphere) and on-orbit calibration data to derive, validate, and trend calibration coefficients, and build monitoring, alerting, and automated diagnostic visualizations that surface calibration accuracy, noise, uniformity, and image-quality metrics as data flows through the pipelines.
• Contribute to CI/CD, deployment, containerization, and observability tooling that keeps calibration services reliable in production, and partner with calibration scientists and the IR Instrument team to plan and execute pre-launch and on-orbit calibration campaigns for the SBEM instruments and productionize their algorithms.
• Drive engineering best practices across the calibration codebase — code review, version control, documentation, versioned management of calibration coefficients and lookup tables, and continuous improvement of test coverage and reliability.
• Work cross-functionally with calibration scientists, IR instrument engineers, and product teams to build and maintain operational calibration services and ensure the scientific quality, quantitative validation, and radiometric integrity of Muon’s IR data products — including uncertainty budgets and cross-calibration against on-board calibrators, blackbody references, and vicarious calibration sites
• Learn new topics as needed (measurement techniques, geospatial data engineering, software engineering, customer domain-specific implications)

Qualifications

• PhD with 3+ years, MS with 6+ years, or BS with 8+ years of industry experience
• 4+ years of experience calibrating imaging instruments
• Hands-on experience with complex data from new imaging instruments
• Proven track record shipping and operating production data or analytics pipelines for scientific data — including monitoring, logging, alerting, and automated testing — ideally in a remote sensing, calibration, or other measurement-instrument context
• Demonstrated experience taking scientific or numerical algorithms — for example calibration, image-processing, or signal-processing algorithms — from prototype to hardened, maintainable production code, including designing unit and integration test suites and quantitative validation against reference data
• Exceptional Python software engineering skills, including modern packaging, testing frameworks (e.g., pytest), version control, code review, and CI/CD workflows
• Solid grounding in statistics, applied mathematics, and enough instrument physics to reason about calibration algorithms, radiometric error budgets, and their diagnostics — and to design meaningful automated quality visualizations on top of them
• Ability to work with a distributed, interdisciplinary team (scientists, engineers, data support)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start up environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with mid-wave infrared instruments and MWIR data processing, and hands-on experience calibrating on-orbit imaging instruments — radiometric, spectral, and geometric
• Deep knowledge of the science of remote sensing and radiometric calibration, including SI-traceability and uncertainty analysis.
• Experience with detector characterization (dark current, non-uniformity, linearity, noise, MTF, or PRNU/DSNU), calibration campaign design (blackbodies, integrating spheres, on-board calibrators, deep convective clouds, lunar or vicarious calibration sites), and/or geospatial data processing
• Familiarity with common geospatial data tooling and formats (e.g. XArray, COG, NetCDF), and with building automated visualization or dashboarding tools for scientific data (e.g., Plotly, Panel, Streamlit, Grafana)
• Familiarity with containerization and workflow orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, Prefect, Argo, or similar)
• Experience with cloud-native systems and infrastructure-as-code (AWS preferred)
• Experience working with large TB-sized datasets, and domain expertise in geospatial analytics

Salary

The salary range for this role is $192,000 - $213,000.00, plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location as assessed during the interview process.
