Job Description

Position Summary: The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible to manage the financial coding in the Eurofins Environment (USA) Laboratory Information management System and ensures continued alignment between sales invoicing and the accounting system. Responsible for checking and adding new coding to the financial coding portal.  Duties include financial analysis and modeling, system maintenance, data management, report creation and the tie-out checking across different software solutions (such as LIMS and accounting system).  Plays a critical part in providing integrated systems planning and recommends new or different technologies which will enhance current systems and support overall business goals. This position requires excellent technical skills and proven attention to detail, process, and discipline within a lab or production environment.

This is a hybrid role. Will work 2-3 days per week in the office in Lancaster, PA with the rest of the work week remote. Must live within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA. No relocation assistance is provided. Must also be authorized to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship needed now or in the future.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strong familiarity with accounting for sales and intercompany transactions.
  • Degree in accounting, finance or information systems
  • Demonstrable knowledge of SQL and Power BI
  • Knowledge of Oracle EPM or Hyperion is a plus
  • Make value-added recommendations to build and maintain SQL queries to support data tie-outs between systems and automation needs.
  • Provides integrated systems planning and recommends new or different technologies which will enhance current systems and support overall business goals.
  • Automates the tie-out of Invoicing from the LIMS system with the accounting software invoiced sales
  • Acts as the primary liaison between Finance and IT Solutions teams to ensure financial systems align with organizational needs, functional requirements, and technical standards
  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):

Education/Experience (BMQ):

BS/BA in Computer Science or related discipline required. 5+ years of experience in a corporate IT solutions role, preferably supporting or customizing financial systems. Strong analytical skills, applied to both IT applications and finance processes design.

Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):

  • Several years of experience with SQL and a strong understanding of accounting for sales and intercompany transactions
  • Experience with creating tie-outs of data between operational and finance systems is preferred.
  • Experience sitting between Finance/Accounting and IT departments
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Finance, IT, and the business.

Pay range: $80,000 - 90,000/yr

In this role, you will:

  • Providing day-to-day support of the PLM tool and product community, ensure consistency of material master data fields in PLM with other business management systems, validate product data, BOMs, Operations and Financial Planning requirements, collaborate with PLM vendor support team and monitor and review system performance.

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. As a Data Analytics Engineer for GFiber, you will be working with multiple stakeholders across the organization to provide quantitative support, define metric rules and logic, deliver useful tables and reports, model business scenarios, and solve a wide range of business problems. To do so, you will be expected to create new pipelines from scratch, merging broad financial and ERP data sets together into a cohesive technical infrastructure. You will be responsible for engineering foundational table resources using Google Cloud Platform (GCP): BigQuery, Dataform, LookML, Dataplex, etc. The pipelines, metrics, tools, and analyses you develop will be used by our leaders to make strategic decisions and serve as a key input in decision-making.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Create foundational pipelines and data extractions with large data sets using SQL and other GCP technologies demonstrating comfort with software-engineering-level best practices and approaches to data pipelines and management.
  • Work with large, complex data sets to solve difficult analysis problems, assess the impact of initiatives, and create on-going tooling/resources to run the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand business context for solutions, analysis, and tooling needed to become the single point of contact for all financial data engineering questions.
  • Undertake specific tasks, bugs, and maintenance work. Additionally, own complex projects, proving mastery through accuracy, timeliness, and volume of work, with minimal guidance.

At a minimum we’d like you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in analytics, data science, and/or computer science engineering.
  • 5 Years of experience with using SQL, writing queries from scratch on a daily basis, data engineering, architecture, pipeline management, and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL).
  • Expertise using GCP tools.

It’s preferred if you have:

  • Experience in HTML, Python, or other coding languages.
  • Experience using data to identify opportunities for business improvement and defining/measuring the success of those initiatives.
  • Ability to use written and verbal communication to build relationships with cross-functional partners and conduct presentations for stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Ability to engage with PMO teams to prioritize, provide level of effort estimations, manage bug queues and bandwidth.

Intro to Position

You will be critical to building a new, leaner, audience-centric, data-driven app that could serve NPR and partnering stations in multi-modal formats. Responsibilities

The target wage range for this role is $27.00 - $31.00 per hour. Individual wage rates within this range are based on multiple factors including but not limited to skills, experiences, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational considerations. To do this work, the Analyst will use a variety of tools and data languages (such as Excel, BigQuery, SQL, JSON, and others). They will use those tools to review large product datasets, design data extraction workflows, and to optimize our out data extraction processes. This role will also work on the data transformations and mappings needed to deliver our Product Intelligence datasets to a variety of end recipients (both internal and external consumers of the data).

This role will work cross-functionally with a variety of team members across data operations, data pipeline, R&D, data quality, and customer support. These interactions will have a focus on continually improving our Product Intelligence attribute offerings, accuracy, and overall data quality.

Product Intelligence data is the fuel for SPINS programs and the backbone of SPINS health & wellness insights. As such, Product Intelligence is one of the major pillars of SPINS and therefore it is essential to our success that this role upholds the tenets of data harmonization, attribute data creation and adherence to quality standards, continuous process improvement, and increases the overall quality across our data pipeline processes. This role is an excellent entry point for exposure to the world of big data for health and wellness CPG.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Science, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business or Food Science
  • Strong attention to detail, with ability to analyze large volumes of product data to draw insights, guide product classifications, improve attribution, and support cross-organizational projects
  • Familiarity with Excel, JSON, relational databases, and/or other data management tools
  • A detailed-oriented, process-driven mindset used to identify, measure, and improve data classification processes
  • Adept at learning new technologies and business functions, working proactively to problem solve and take initiative
  • Ability to understand and interpret simple coding language, database infrastructure, and data structures

Qualifications Desired:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Use a variety of data tools to develop, test, and implement data extraction processes
  • Clean, normalize, and transform extracted data into a standard format to be used across our databases, applications and tools
  • Identify any data issues, analyze the root cause and implement the fix to prevent recurrence
  • Work with key stakeholders to proactively identify opportunities to improve or expand existing pipelines and systems
  • Assist and participate in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for PI workflows and processes
  • Manage MTurk workers by monitoring performance, providing timely feedback and coaching
  • Generate and communicate status on assigned tasks and projects
  • Handle competing priorities and heavy project workloads

Salary Range: $55,000 to $60,000
