We are seeking an experienced Python Backend Developer to design, build, and deploy scalable AI-powered applications using Retrieval-Augmented Generation, large language models, and agentic AI frameworks. The role will focus on delivering a production-grade RAG system and AI chatbot that can securely integrate with enterprise data, APIs, databases, and cloud services.

General information:

The organization is developing an AI-powered platform and requires an experienced individual contributor to build its RAG architecture and conversational AI capabilities. The developer will work closely with a distributed team and should be available for several hours of overlap with US working hours.

The project involves designing AI systems that go beyond basic prompt engineering, including multi-step workflows, autonomous agents, vector search, knowledge retrieval, memory management, and tool integration. The solution must be scalable, secure, observable, and suitable for production use.

The technology environment includes Python, FastAPI, large language models, LangGraph, LangChain, vector databases, Azure AI services, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice-based architectures.

Task and deliverables:

• Design the end-to-end architecture for a scalable RAG system and AI chatbot.
• Develop Python backend services, REST APIs, and microservices using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Build document ingestion, chunking, embedding, indexing, retrieval, and reranking pipelines.

About the Role

Our Victim Identification team builds and owns tools that empower global law enforcement partners to combat child sexual abuse. Compensation and Benefits

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role is $129,000-$178,250/year. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure, and certifications.

Our remote-first work model is structured around working from home most of the time. But, there will be times that employees are expected to travel. The Role

Jump is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our nimble Data team, where you’ll help build and evolve the data platform that powers the company. You’ll own the reliability and performance of our Snowflake and dbt-powered stack, building the pipelines and models that make data trustworthy and usable across Jump - from internal dashboards to client-facing products. The Intermediate Front End Developer is a technical role that supports building and maintaining the user-facing aspects of Smile Digital Health’s Clinical Intelligence platform. Senior Backend Engineer, Core APIs (SRE Focus)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help build and operate the end-to-end fraud detection systems behind our Core APIs. Your primary responsibility will be building highly performant backend systems and keeping them reliable at scale. This is a hybrid backend/SRE role: you’ll write the services and you’ll own how they behave in production.

This role requires strong experience in backend software development, particularly API development and scaling existing systems in both Go and Node.js, paired with a genuine interest in reliability engineering. You’ll design and implement scalable, high-performance backend systems, maintain their SLOs, and take ownership of features from concept through deployment and steady-state operation.

A key aspect of this role involves a deep understanding of scaling and operating distributed systems, allowing us to multiply our capacity safely and efficiently as our user base continues to grow rapidly.

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and optimize backend systems for real-time data processing and web services, with reliability, latency, and cost as first-class design constraints.
• Define and own SLIs and SLOs for Core API services, and use error budgets to make concrete tradeoffs between shipping velocity and stability.

Your mission

As an Engineer within Bitpanda’s Prime Services team, you will design, build, and scale the low-latency, highly available back-end systems powering our margin trading ecosystem. You will own critical infrastructure spanning leverage and collateral management, real-time risk assessment, and automated liquidation engines. Collaborating closely with product, quantitative, and risk teams, your work will directly shape how clients access leverage and how Bitpanda manages credit risk at scale.

Who you are

• 4+ years of experience of software development using modern frameworks such as Micronaut/Spring Boot, with Java 17+ as your main programming language
• Good understanding of relational and non-relational databases (bonus points for experience with Postgres and MongoDB)
• Experience creating and maintaining publicly available REST APIs with a keen understanding of performance optimisation and scalability

The Senior Software Engineer will work closely with the VP of Engineering, CTO, and CEO to design, build, and operate scalable backend services and AI-powered applications. This role combines platform engineering with practical AI implementation, requiring an engineer who enjoys building production systems rather than conducting AI research.

Tasks and Deliverables

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services powering AI-driven financial products.
• Own technical decisions across system architecture, APIs, data models, performance, security, and reliability.
• Build backend applications using TypeScript and Python, while contributing to frontend functionality with JavaScript when needed.
• Integrate LLMs and agentic AI capabilities into production software.

Required Experience

• Hands-on experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into production applications.
