Job Description

This position pre-registers and schedules patients for appointments, procedures, tests, and other services in a timely, professional, and courteous manner. Answers incoming calls, completes follow-up and referral work queues, and ticket scheduling. Communicates with patient care teams as necessary to ensure efficient, appropriate care for patients. Completes patient checkout, schedules follow-up appointments per the physician’s order, and provides patients with cost estimates and itineraries for upcoming appointments. Level II Patient Schedulers are expected to be proficient in scheduling multiple service lines across Essentia Health in a complex, high-call and work queue volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient identification, registration, and scheduling, after visit summaries with estimates, patient checkout and appointment, and procedure and lab scheduling, obtaining required signatures and documents from patients
• Supports a variety of Population Management, Chronic Disease Management and ACO initiatives through patient registry and outbound calling
• Full pre-registration of all patients calling to schedule an appointment, including updating of guarantor information and verification of insurance eligibility
• Coordinates the scheduling of services for patients including ancillary and procedure scheduling
• Handles incoming calls, follow-up and referral work queues, ticket scheduling.
• Proficiently and accurately enters data into the permanent electronic health record while talking with patients

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Executive Medical Director will report to the CMO, with a dotted-line relationship to the SVP of Research & Early-Stage Product Development, and will be responsible for the design, execution, and analysis of clinical trials in the ophthalmology therapeutic area

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clinical Development Leadership
  • Serve as the clinical lead for Phase 1 retina clinical trials, including study design, protocol development, dose escalation strategy, and safety oversight
  • Maintain accountability for study execution, data interpretation, and clinical readouts, including early signal detection and go/no-go recommendations
  • Serve as medical monitor for assigned studies, ensuring subject safety and data integrity
  • Lead cross-functional study teams (clinical operations, clinical science, biometrics, regulatory, safety, CMC, etc.) to ensure high-quality and timely trial delivery
  • Provides clinical leadership to multidisciplinary study execution teams drawn from clinical operations, clinical science, biometrics, regulatory affairs, CMC, pharm/tox, drug safety, commercial, and alliance partners
  • Has lead accountability on the study teams for delivery of study protocols, study conduct, and study readouts

  • Lead clinical contributions to IND submissions and early regulatory interactions, including Health Authority meetings for Phase 1 programs

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Medical Degree (M.D.), other degrees considered with relevant experience
• Residency training in Ophthalmology with a preference for subspecialty training in retina
• Board certification/retina fellowship training are a plus

Experience:

• 10+ years of clinical ophthalmology research in the biopharmaceutical industry
• Experience with medical monitoring and oversight of Phase 1 retina clinical trials
• Experience with gene therapy clinical studies
  • Experience in other phases (Phase 2, 3) of clinical research.
  • Experience with NDA/BLA/MAA submission planning and execution
  • Experience in data analysis, data interpretation, and medical writing

This individual will play an instrumental role in Lap of Love’s day-to-day operations by providing support to our veterinarians throughout the nation to ensure the utmost quality of care for our hospice patients. This individual’s role will include monitoring existing hospice cases and assuring timely follow-ups, encouraging re-checks with our doctors, assisting veterinarians with prescription refills, providing resources to families, reviewing and managing the library of hospice write-ups, and becoming a resource to our Support Center team for veterinary related questions on an ad hoc basis.

We are seeking an experienced Certified/Registered Veterinary Technician with impeccable knowledge of senior, geriatric, and terminally ill hospice cases to fulfill the role of Hospice Care Nurse. The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge and communication skills to help guide families through hospice care for their pet and effectively support the veterinarian with these cases.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Monitor existing hospice cases averaging 10 or more cases per day (250 per month)
• Determine useful resources for families and assist in providing as needed
• Act as point of contact for area veterinarians
• Encourage re-checks with veterinarians based on the needs of each family
• Monitor hospice appointments to ensure they are being performed exceptionally, updated properly on the appropriate software, and that all follow-up procedures are completed in a timely manner
• Review hospice write-ups for quality and completeness and communicate with veterinarians for any clarifications needed
• Act as a point person for families to contact with questions
• Handle and escalate any client concerns or questions (example: dissatisfaction during the appointment, etc.)

The Role

We’re looking for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our care team on a contract basis, providing telehealth psychotherapy to patients managing mental health conditions alongside a neurologic diagnosis. You’ll work independently within your scope of practice, providing assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based psychotherapy to help patients cope with the emotional and psychological impact of living with a chronic neurologic condition.

• Comfort and experience providing psychotherapy via telehealth

Overview

20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

We are seeking a full-time Bilingual Patient Care Coordination Virtual Assistant to support patient scheduling, communication, medical coordination, and administrative operations for a growing healthcare practice specializing in preoperative medical clearances.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a healthcare or medical office environment, communicates fluently in both English and Spanish, and understands the importance of professionalism, accuracy, and compassionate patient care. This is a long-term opportunity for a dependable Virtual Assistant who will become an important extension of the clinical team.

The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.

Scope of Services

Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:

Patient Care Coordination

Job Summary

The Complex Loss Specialist position at Golden State Claims Services reports to a Claims Supervisor or Claims Manager and will specialize in Allied Health claims. The chief duty of the Complex Loss Specialist for Allied Health claims is to adjust the most time-intensive, complex, and high exposure losses that require a higher level of technical expertise, knowledge, and negotiating ability, for the program(s) to which is assigned. The Complex Loss Specialist will have a high level of ability to provide analysis and presentations to Senior Executives and Program Executives for these complex matters and will be well-versed in leading strategic roundtable discussions to determine optimal resolution strategy.

Position Responsibilities

• Contribute to a collaborative environment by consistently demonstrating teamwork, high motivation, positive behavior, and effort to achieve goals and objectives.
• Building and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external customers, including clients, underwriting and service teams, and agents
• Research applicable coverage for our insureds. Document coverage dates, limits, and restrictions
• Identify and resolve any potential coverage questions. Draft reservation of rights and coverage denials for review and approval by their Supervisor/Manager
• Investigate facts of the loss by securing statements and supporting documentation such as contracts, cost of repair estimates, expert reports, photos, correspondence, etc.
• Document activities in writing within claim files
• Exercise judgment in applying legal liability to assigned claims and will have settlement authority up to their specific authority, which may vary from carrier to carrier.
• Assign defense counsel to answer and defend lawsuits where appropriate. Monitor and direct defense counsel, independent adjusters, and experts.
• Identify claims with potential exposure in excess of authority and advise their Supervisor/Manager
• Evaluate, set, or recommend reserves for each file they are handling.
• Prepare written reports as dictated by company policy and procedures.
• Handle claims within guidelines of the Fair Claims Practices 790.03
• Provide insureds, claimants, underwriters, and carriers with regular updates on status of file handling.
• Discuss unique and complex files with Supervisor/Manager

Core Technical Duties

• Healthcare liability claims investigation and evaluation, including medical malpractice, general liability, and professional liability exposures
• Coverage analysis and interpretation of allied health professional liability policies, including review of coverage dates, limits, exclusions, and endorsements
• Medical record review and interpretation across allied health disciplines (physical therapy, home health, diagnostics, behavioral health, etc.)
• Drafting reservation of rights letters and coverage denial communications for supervisor review
• Reserve evaluation, setting, and recommendation based on exposure analysis and claim trajectory
• Litigation management, including assignment and direction of defense counsel, independent medical examiners, and expert witnesses

Investigation & Documentation

• Securing recorded and written statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses
• Gathering and organizing supporting documentation including incident reports, medical records, licensing records, contracts, and expert reports
• Maintaining accurate, detailed claim file documentation in compliance with carrier and program guidelines
• Preparing written reports and roundtable summaries consistent with company policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of claims experience, with an emphasis on complex Allied Health claims
• College degree or equivalent claims management experience required.
• Minimum of 10 years litigation management experience preferred.
• Must hold an individual adjusting license for a designated home State and be willing to secure additional required adjusting licenses as needed
• Active adjusters license under your name required
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to maintain consistent and clear communication with leadership, the team and all other external points of contact

The starting annual pay scale for this position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, training, and experience.
