Product Senior Director, Product Management (Financial Platforms) at Affirm

Leads product strategy and PM teams for Affirm’s loan lifecycle and money movement financial platforms.

Exec Posted 27 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

At Affirm, we exist for the moments that matter—giving people a clear, predictable way to pay over time, with no hidden fees, no surprises, and no tradeoffs on what matters most.

About the Product team

The Product team listens to our customers’ needs and translates those insights into a clear product vision. The team works closely with design, engineering, and analytics to build scalable financial products that empower people to manage their money with confidence. We rely on empathy, curiosity, and business sense to prioritize features and improve experiences. Our role is to lead with clarity, support cross-functional execution, and champion the user in every decision.

About the role

Our Financial Platform sits at the heart of every loan Affirm makes and every dollar we move. We’re looking for a Senior Director of Product Management to lead and scale the teams behind two of our most critical and complex domains: Loans Lifecycle and Money Movement. This is a role for a seasoned product leader who thrives in the intersection of financial systems, platform engineering, and organizational scale.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and grow a high-performing PM team. Build, mentor, and manage a team of 6–10 product managers, including people managers. You’ll set the bar for craft, create development paths, and cultivate a culture of ownership, rigor, and candor.
  • Own the vision and strategy for Loans Lifecycle and Money Movement. Define the multi-year product strategy for Affirm’s foundational loan systems and global money movement infrastructure — ensuring they are scalable, compliant, and capable of supporting rapid product innovation. Translate that vision into clear roadmaps and decisions that teams can execute against.
  • Be the domain authority. Serve as the executive-level subject matter expert on loan lifecycle mechanics, payment rails, settlement flows, and institutional transfers — guiding product, engineering, and business partners on tradeoffs, best practices, and platform decisions.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment at scale. Partner closely with Engineering, Accounting, Treasury, Capital Markets, Legal, Compliance, and Client Success teams. Navigate complexity, balance competing stakeholder needs, and build trust through clear communication and a strong delivery track record.
  • Enable platform scalability and international expansion. Architect platform strategies that simplify domain boundaries, standardize loan behaviors across products and markets, and unlock faster time-to-market for new geographies and product lines.
  • Measure and improve platform health. Define success metrics — including settlement success rates, reconciliation coverage, exception volumes, and time-to-resolution — and hold teams accountable to the reliability and accuracy standards these critical systems demand.
  • Influence up and across the organization. Regularly present strategy, tradeoffs, and priorities to senior leadership. Shape organizational thinking on where to invest and what to deprioritize.

What we look for

  • 15+ years of product management experience, with at least 3–5 years managing and developing PM teams including people managers
  • Deep experience in loans or lending systems — you understand loan lifecycle mechanics, platform architecture for loan servicing, and the compliance and operational requirements that come with it
  • Meaningful experience in money movement, payments infrastructure, or financial operations — you’re fluent in payment rails, settlement flows, cross-border transfers, and the reliability and accuracy standards these systems demand
  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or banking; familiarity with BNPL, platform products, or backend infrastructure is strongly preferred; capital markets background is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to set and execute long-term platform strategy in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Strong technical fluency — you’re comfortable diving into data models and API discussions with engineers and holding informed opinions
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to accelerate your own work and raise the bar for your team
  • Track record of building and scaling distributed, high-performing PM teams across multiple domains simultaneously
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills — you can align Legal, Finance, Engineering, and executive leadership around a common direction
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication; you tell crisp, data-driven stories to diverse audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience

As Senior Director of Product for the Client Engagement Group (CEG), you will lead the product strategy and execution for Squarespace's customer engagement platform: the CRM, email campaigns, automations, and transactional communications that enable our merchants to build lasting customer relationships and grow their businesses on Squarespace.

The Client Engagement Group sits at the center of Squarespace's growth strategy. Our marketing tools are a critical lever in increasing product attach, reducing merchant churn, and building a differentiated position in the service commerce landscape. • Define and drive the multi-year product vision and strategy for CEG - spanning CRM, email campaigns, automations, transactional communications, and emerging channels including SMS - with a clear line of sight to revenue growth and platform impact
  • Own the Email Campaigns business line end-to-end: report on revenue performance, develop engagement and GTM strategies, and lead roadmap decisions in close partnership with commercial and marketing stakeholders
  • Build toward a competitive, full-featured customer engagement platform by prioritizing investments in business CRM, transactional automations, flexible communication channels, and advanced segmentation that meet the sophisticated needs of today's service sellers
  • Lead, grow, and mentor a team of product managers across multiple product lines, setting a high bar for hypothesis-driven development, roadmap rigor, and customer-centricity
  • Partner with Engineering and Design functional leads to deliver outcomes across the team; step in to remove blockers and maintain velocity on high-priority initiatives
  • Collaborate across the Squarespace ecosystem - with Commerce, Growth, Financial Solutions, and GTM - to ensure CEG products are deeply integrated into the broader platform
  • Champion the use of Squarespace data and AI to create smarter automation flows, personalized outreach, and differentiated customer engagement experiences that competitors cannot easily replicate
  • Shape the process, craft, and standards for senior product leadership at Squarespace

Who We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of product management experience, with a meaningful portion spent building and scaling customer engagement, CRM, marketing, or communications products
  • 5+ years leading and developing teams of product managers in complex, multi-product environments
  • Deep familiarity with the customer engagement and email service provider landscape; informed perspective on what it takes to compete with and differentiate from best-in-class marketing and CRM tools
  • Demonstrated ability to own a revenue-generating product line with accountability for business outcomes, not just product delivery
  • Strong strategic instincts paired with a bias for execution; comfortable operating at the intersection of vision-setting and unblocking day-to-day team work
  • Excellent communicator and cross-functional partner with the credibility to influence senior leadership and align stakeholders across product, engineering, commercial, and marketing functions

What this role involves

About CouponFollow

At CouponFollow (NextGen), a System1 company (NYSE: SST), we help over 25 million monthly users save money by connecting them with real, verified coupon codes from thousands of leading retailers. As one of the world’s leading organic coupon sites, CouponFollow.com, we’re rapidly expanding our product offerings, user experience, and strategic partnerships.

About the Role

We are looking for a Vice President, Consumer Products & Growth to take end-to-end ownership of our browser extension and related mobile apps business, as well as new strategic growth products in the deals and savings space. This is a hybrid business owner / growth / product-owner role. You’ll set the strategy for how we grow these businesses: marketing, installs, retention, and monetization, own the partner relationships that make that growth possible, and work hand-in-hand with product and engineering to ship the roadmap that gets us there. You will be the single point of accountability for the business’s performance and growth trajectory.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Business Ownership

  • Own the extension and related business plans and operating cadence, with accountability for revenue, forecasting, KPI performance, and resource allocation; identify performance gaps early and lead corrective actions across the organization.

  • Define the growth strategy for the consumer product portfolio, setting the strategic priorities, growth levers, and market-positioning choices that will drive sustainable scale.

  • Set strategic product direction and roadmap priorities to enhance the product experience and business metrics.

  • Source and prioritize new business opportunities, evaluating build-vs-partner tradeoffs and sizing potential impact.

  • Build and scale a high-performing team to drive the business, establishing clear processes, staffing models, and quality standards to maintain strong user experience as volume grows.

Performance & Analytics

  • Own performance management of the CouponFollow browser extensions and mobile  apps — analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on funnel, acquisition, retention, and cashback performance data.

  • Establish the reporting cadence and metrics framework the business is run against, surfacing insights and recommendations to leadership.

Growth Partnerships & Distribution

  • Own the strategy and execution for performance-based CPA/CPI partnerships that drive installs, activation, and monetization.

  • Manage the creator/UGC growth function against clear performance targets.

  • Build and grow high-value partner distribution relationships across affiliate networks, merchants, and other distribution partners, with a clear focus on scalable, pay-for-performance models.

  • Design, test, and optimize CPA (cost per action) and CPI (cost per install) offers, payout structures, and tracking frameworks to maximize efficient growth and LTV.

  • Work closely with the partnerships team to align affiliate network and merchant relationships with the extension/app  business, ensuring clear KPIs, attribution, and payout accountability.

  • Define and track partner performance metrics (e.g., eCPI, eCPA, ROAS, retention cohorts) and run regular partner reviews to scale winners and cut underperformers.

Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure compliance with tracking technologies, digital marketing standards, and affiliate network stand-down rules.

  • Collaborate with product, data, and legal to ensure compliant tracking, fraud prevention, and clean integration of partner-sourced traffic into the extension funnel.

Cross-functional Execution

  • Manage and develop the paid growth function responsible for day-to-day channel execution - approve budgets, targets, and LTV-based guardrails while holding the team accountable for efficient, scalable growth.

  • Partner closely with product and engineering to translate strategy into a shipped roadmap.

  • Act as the connective tissue between partnerships, product, engineering, and leadership to keep the extension business aligned and moving.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience with responsibility for consumer and product activities (e.g. product growth, product management, GM or P&L owner).

  • Demonstrated success developing and scaling performance-based growth programs, including CPA/CPI partnerships, affiliate channels, or other pay-for-performance distribution models.

  • Proven track record building, launching, and maintaining high-scale, successful products.

  • Experience strategically influencing and aligning senior stakeholders and key partners to consistently drive action, results, and change.

  • Hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” mindset, with the ability to be a driver and change agent in an organization.

  • Strong business acumen and data analytics proficiency.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Nice To Have:

  • Experience managing app and/or browser extension products.

  • Experience in affiliate marketing or digital partnerships.

  • Experience in the shopping and deals space.

What We Have To Offer:

  • Competitive salary + bonus + equity
  • Generous PTO + 11 company holidays
  • Open sick time
  • 100% covered Medical, Dental, Vision for employees
  • 401k with match
  • Health & Dependent Care Flex Spending Account
  • Paid professional development
  • Leadership & growth opportunities
  • Virtual company and team building events
