Leads quality engineering and test automation strategy for a digital payments security platform, balancing technical depth with cross-functional team leadership and release assurance.
Why Entersekt
Founded over 16 years ago, with more recent investments from Accel-KKR, Entersekt is a leader in digital banking fraud prevention and payment security, including mobile authentication, mobile app security, and 3D Secure authentication for issuers, acquirers and payment networks. We offer highly scalable products with a track record of success across multiple continents.
Entersekt enables secure digital transactions for leading financial institutions globally. We exist to create a world where everyone can transact digitally without fear or compromise. Currently, we protect the digital transactions of over 210 million active users on our platform and hold 120 active patents that recognize innovation in digital security, payments, and user experience. Entersekt offers customers secure authentication and digital payments experiences that remove unnecessary friction. Entersekt has a diverse product portfolio and aggressive roadmap that positions the company well to sustain competitive advantage as it expands globally with emphasis on North America and European markets.
Quality at Entersekt is a shared engineering responsibility, not a final test phase. Our Quality Engineering function provides the standards, automation and independent evidence needed to deliver confidently in a regulated environment.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical and people leader with deep expertise in software quality engineering and automation. They combine strong technical depth with the ability to influence teams that do not report directly to them, balancing engineering excellence, automation strategy, release assurance and quality leadership.
They are comfortable staying close to the code, pipelines and automation frameworks while leading engineers and providing clear quality guidance across cross-functional teams. They know how to make release risk explicit, hold a quality position under pressure, resolve issues directly with accountable peers and escalate appropriately when risks exceed agreed tolerances.
The successful candidate demonstrates strong judgement, the ability to assess risk objectively and the confidence to deliver difficult feedback constructively while maintaining strong working relationships.
The Role
The QE & Automation Lead is accountable for QE-owned assurance across Entersektâs 3DS portfolio, including the Access Control Server, associated integrations and scheme certification obligations, together with delegated areas of the shared automation framework.
This role leads the Quality Engineers assigned to the portfolio while remaining actively involved in technical execution and decision-making. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring automation effectiveness, quality visibility, release confidence and continuous improvement in testing practices across the product line.
A fundamental aspect of the role is influencing engineering teams, product teams and delivery stakeholders to continuously improve product quality while supporting the needs of a highly regulated and security critical environment.
Responsibilities
Automation and Engineering Leadership
Release Assurance and Quality Intelligence
People Leadership
Cross-Functional Leadership
Continuous Improvement
Skills and Experience
Successful candidates for this role will generally possess the following qualifications and skills:
Personality Attributes
Weighted equally with technical depth, as much of the roleâs success depends on influencing teams that do not report directly to the QE function.
We place a lot of value on how we treat prospective employees and appreciate the time and effort that goes into job hunting. That is why we aim to keep the hiring process as quick and seamless as possible while ensuring the best possible fit for both you and the company.

Paramount Games is hiring an experienced Lead Producer to join our Publishing team. In this role, youâll partner closely with our development studio(s) and internal publishing functions to drive milestone delivery, keep cross-functional work aligned, and manage day-to-day execution across one or more high-profile AAA titles. Reporting to the Executive Producer, youâll act as a player-first advocate, pushing features and milestones forward on time and to a high bar of quality. Youâll help steer project plans, spot and manage risk before it becomes a problem, and keep every stakeholder, from development to marketing to platform partners, on the same page.
This role suits someone whoâs energized by fast-moving, ambitious production environments, and who brings structure and follow-through to complex, multi-team efforts.
_Game & Industry Fluency_Â â Bring real knowledge of how games get made to the table: how features and creative decisions translate into player experience, and where established workflows or delivery approaches could be sharpened.
_Judgment Under Pressure_Â â Help plan and deliver milestones by making sure the right people have the right information at the right time. Weigh scope, schedule, and cost tradeoffs, understand what ripples downstream, and escalate risk before it compounds.
_Day-to-Day Production Leadership_Â â Run execution for a defined set of features, workstreams, or an entire title. Help balance competing pressures of quality, time, and cost, flag risks and opportunities to leadership, and solve the daily fires that come with shipping a AAA game.
_Cross-Team Relationships_Â â Build real working relationships across the studio and publishing organization. Get multiple disciplines rowing in the same direction, and surface misalignment or gaps before they cause delay.
_Clear Communication_Â â Write and present updates that land with stakeholders at every level. Build the decks, milestone docs, and reports that drive decisions, not just record them.
_Player Advocacy_Â â Keep the player experience in the room during every tradeoff conversation. Work with Research, Community, Data, and Product teams to make sure player impact shapes prioritization and stay tuned in to player sentiment throughout the titleâs life.
_Quality Ownership_Â â Hold every deliverable, from early milestone builds to final polish, to a high standard. Track quality risk proactively, keep it visible across teams, and help drive resolution of known issues so the game feels solid across every platform it ships on.
Bonus points
If you have both development and publishing side production experience
The annual salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $140,000 â $180,000. The salary offered may vary based on the candidateâs location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors.
We realize that skills and expertise can come from many different experiences and paths, and we encourage you to apply even if you donât meet all of the requirements as written in the job description.

Manages engineering teams and oversees development initiatives at an energy grid technology company.
Manages project delivery and timelines, coordinating teams and stakeholders to ensure successful product career placements and operations.
Manages projects and timelines for fashion-related initiatives at an AI-native growth firm.
Manages projects for a professional services firm specializing in digital transformation solutions for clients globally.
Engineering manager leads a software team building device orchestration and optimization for the energy grid, focusing on team development and technical execution.
The grid was built for predictable, centralised power. Today itâs absorbing intermittent supply from grid scale solar and wind, alongside dynamic demand from EVs, heat pumps, and home batteries. The missing piece is software that can connect and orchestrate these devices at scale.
Enode provides the infrastructure layer that makes this possible. Our Connect API gives energy companies a single integration to 1000+ devices across 80+ brands. Our optimisation tooling gives energy companies the building blocks to manage those devices locally - think smart charging for EVs. Our Flex product turns those connected devices into a flexible, controllable asset for energy companies.
We work with device manufacturers across the energy hardware ecosystem - from EV brands to heat pump and solar inverter producers. Our customers are energy retailers, utilities, and traders building the next generation of energy services. Weâre backed by Y Combinator, Lowercarbon Capital, and Creandum.
The decisions made now will shape how the energy system gets built. Weâre looking for people who take ownership, move fast, and care deeply about the role technology can play in the energy transition.
AI is how a team our size keeps rewiring the way we work, fast enough to match what our mission demands. We look for people who reach for AI as a reflex and who can drop a habit that used to work. People who care about unblocking others, not just about what they ship themselves. If thatâs not quite how you work yet but itâs the direction youâre heading, weâd still like to hear from you. We assess this in our interview process, alongside everything else we look at.
Weâre hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the team building the software layer that connects EVs, chargers, solar, and batteries, so customers can optimize across fleets of homes and within each home, helping people manage their own energy while participating in grid-scale optimization. That means redesigning for speed, reliability, and broader coverage, evolving from controlling individual devices to optimizing the entire home, driveway included.
AI is raising the bar for engineering leadership, and we need someone who leads people, not just process, who sets a standard the team is proud to clear, and tells leadership what it needs to hear. Our people are our most valuable asset, and weâre looking for someone who leads like that. You will:
Own the teamâs technical vision end to end, not just execute someone elseâs roadmap. You partner effectively with the product team to create an ambitious roadmap
Define what âgreatâ looks like, and refuse to settle for less. Your definition comes from past experiences of seeing great teams succeed
Sit at the table with the CTO to shape strategy, product bets, and the roadmap for a business area weâre still inventing
Sit on the engineering leadership team, your job doesnât stop at your teamâs edge
Lead the charge on AI adoption: find where it changes how we build, ship, and operate, and make it real, not theoretical
Hire and grow people who make the team sharper, not just bigger. You are a coach to your teammates and help them reach their full potential
Set expectations that are impossible to misread, then hold people to them with empathy and firmness, in equal measure
Delegate like you mean it: give your team real ownership, not just tasks
Push back on me (the CTO), on stakeholders, on plans that donât hold up, and do it in a way that builds trust, not friction
Build relationships people actually rely on, across engineering, product, and leadership
Be the person your team and peers come to think out loud with, no judgment, direct feedback both ways.
3+ years managing engineers, and you love it!
You have values you wonât compromise, even when it costs you something; tell us what those are!
You are driven and ambitious, you push for hard goals and hold a high bar for yourself and everyone around you, consistently
You have good instincts for when to keep it simple and when a clever solution is worth the complexity
Youâve led remote, distributed teams and know what holds people together at a distance
You think past your own team, comfortable shaping decisions at the engineering leadership-team level
Youâve built AI products that have contributed meaningfully to the teamâs success
You do your best work with your stakeholders in the room, not despite them

Weâre searching for passionate individuals eager to contribute to Alpacaâs rapid growth. If you align with our core valuesâStay Curious, Have Empathy, and Be Accountableâand are ready to make a significant impact, we encourage you to apply.
Your job is to lead the team building Alpacaâs algo trading platform to satisfy our users who expect high quality and performance from their brokerage service. As a Team Lead you will still write code and make critical technical decisions, but you are also accountable for how the team works: what it builds, how it prioritizes, how it grows, and how reliably it ships.
This is a hands-on leadership role, not a pure management role. We expect you to stay close to the code and the system, and to spend a meaningful part of your time in the codebase, in design reviews, and on production issues. At the same time you will own the teamâs roadmap, its delivery, and the development of the engineers on it.
The technical bar for this role is the same as our Senior/Staff Software Engineer bar: deep knowledge in both frontend and backend, databases and distributed systems, as well as broad experience from low to high level in CPU-level hardware for high throughput, robust concurrency system design, abstract distributed system architecture for high availability and object-oriented data modeling with long term growth in mind.
You must have previous software engineering experience with trading or exchange systems (OMS, EMS, exchanges, market making, algorithmic trading, quant trading), and previous experience leading engineers.
