About the Job

We are a multistate, vertically integrated cannabis company. Without the strength of the accounting team here at Connected, we wouldn’t be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. We’re seeking an experienced controller to oversee this high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have experience as an accountant in our industry, preferably in a senior role. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, this person will streamline our budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes. The controller will also produce thorough financial-status reports for senior managers to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.

This position is based at our Sacramento, California corporate headquarters and provides a flexible hybrid work schedule, with 2-3 days in office per week and availability to be in office as needed.

What You Will Do

Objectives of this role

  • Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
  • Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
  • Establish (in coordination with VP, Finance) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
  • Annual Audit: Manage the annual financial statement audit, acting as the primary liaison for external auditors, preparing all requested PBC (provided by client) schedules, and ensuring a smooth audit process.”
  • Tax Compliance: Oversee and coordinate federal, state, and local tax compliance, working directly with external tax CPA firms or preparing returns to ensure timely and accurate filings.

What We Are Looking For

Required skills and qualifications

  • Five or more years of professional accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
  • Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
  • Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
  • Exemplary history of financial project management

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field

Compensation Description (annually): The salary range for this position in the selected city is $150,000.00 - $190,000.00 annually.

Summary of Role: The Director, Case Managementwill lead the day-to-day operations of Orca Bio’s national case management function supporting TREGZI, our commercially available high-precision stem cell therapy. Team Leadership & Daily Operations

The anticipated annual salary range for this job is based on prior experience in the role/industry, education, location, internal equity, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. For remote-based positions, this range may vary based on your local market. Job Responsibilities

  • Keep production available and responsive, owning uptime and incident response for the systems that process payments around the clock.

The Manager of Statistical Programming is a strategic role which guides a team of Statistical Programmers in the research and development of new pharmaceutical products. This role is directly responsible for leading the statistical programming activities for the Neuroscience group. The Manager of Statistical Programming must effectively interface with Statistics, Data Sciences, Medical Writing, Regulatory Publishing and Clinical Operations.

  • Leads the statistical programming activities for a compound/indication or therapeutic area in early development.

  • In-depth understanding of CDISC Standards.

We’re looking for a Group Financial Controller to join Moonpig Group in a significant senior Finance leadership role. You’ll lead a broad portfolio spanning external reporting, tax, treasury, sustainability, governance, controls, risk and finance transformation, with regular exposure to our Executive team, Audit Committee and Board.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate or new Audit Director looking to make a senior move into industry, or an established listed-company Finance leader ready for greater breadth and influence. Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the delivery of Group external reporting under IFRS, including the half-year and full-year reporting processes, alongside statutory reporting across all jurisdictions
  • Lead the Group audit process, managing external auditor relationships and ensuring a high-quality and effective audit cycle
  • Provide leadership on technical accounting matters, including the development and application of robust accounting policies and governance
  • Prepare high-quality papers and reporting for the Audit Committee and Board, bringing clarity and sound judgement to complex financial and regulatory matters

The Associate Director will interface with International Marketing, International Medical Affairs, Global Legal and Office of Ethics and Compliance with regard to advertising and promotion strategies and tactics intended for use globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and evaluates the global industry environment (e.g., regulatory, legal, and political climate) and plans strategically for overall system of regulatory communications. Provides functional input on key initiatives impacting other areas. Leads the implementation of risk management strategies and risk management plans for global Regulatory advertising and promotion.
  • Provides global regulatory position, perspective, and expertise related to advertising and promotion to internal and external customers/business partners. Maintains current knowledge of global codes of practice, regulations and guidance’s that impact pharmaceutical advertising and promotion. Has direct international (ex-US) accountability for assigned therapeutic areas within the Regulatory Advertising and Promotion department.
  • Implements department policies and procedures and significantly contributes to the development and updates to Divisional and Corporate policies effecting global core messaging. Supports departmental and business strategies, quality initiatives, compliance with policies and procedures, and the implementation of improvement plans. Contributes to the evaluation of departmental needs and implements solutions to enhance and facilitate operations.
  • Provides critical analysis and potential interpretations of the regulatory position and messaging for communications in response to often highly visible pharmaceutical news having political, financial and legal interests. Creates an environment to attract, retain, empower and mentor leaders in business knowledge, management skills, and continued development. Provides strategic input into comprehensive training program. Negotiates/resolves the majority of decisions with Marketing, Medical, Legal, Public Affairs, and compliance counterparts.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively through all levels of management across multiple divisions and functions. Is recognized by organizational counterparts as a key company resource on pharmaceutical advertising and promotion. Apply novel and creative methods to problem solving. Constantly searches for out of the box solutions while maintaining quality and adherence to regulations.
  • Balances business needs and risk assessments with creative decision-making abilities. Responsible for assigned marketed and development compounds advertising and promotion strategies. Has accountability for: the sound representation of global Regulatory Advertising and Promotion position within and external to AbbVie; and the operations, initiatives, and strategies for the regulatory Advertising and Promotion department.
  • Leads cross-functional/ multidisciplinary/therapeutic teams Demonstrates compliance with international codes of practice relevant regulations and manages financial business goals.
  • This role is required to work a hybrid work schedule-3 days in office from our AbbVie Mettawa, IL headquarters.

Significant Work Activities: Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in science (biology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, medical technology, pharmacy, pharmacology), is required. Master’s, Ph.D or Pharm D preferred.
  • You should also possess:
    • Associate Director: 8+ years of pharmaceutical experience with a Bachelor’s, 5+ years with a Pharm D plus relevant ad promo experience
  • The candidate must have a solid understanding of regulatory advertising and promotion regulations, having had direct responsibility in this area.
  • International experience desired but not required
